Watch your crew at work.
Every time you or your agent asks the crew something, it shows on the Engine Floor: who asked, which role they asked and what it said back. Your whole team sees it as it happens, on a small film set or in words.
What it is
A small film set, drawn in 3D. The Director sits at the monitor in video village with the Script Supervisor beside them, the Cinematographer stands behind the camera, and Casting has its own corner. Each person working through an agent stands on the set with them.
- Someone who has not asked anything yet waits behind video village, then walks to the role they asked.
- Their question and the answer show above them for a few seconds, the answer named for the role that gave it.
- A red light is on over the set while a role is still working on a question.
How you use it
Open Engines in the studio. There is nothing to set up: every question your team's agents put to the crew is on the floor the moment it is asked.
- Drag to turn the set, and scroll or pinch to move in.
- Under the set, one card per role says the same in words, so a screen reader reads the whole floor.
- Open a role's card to read its full log: every question, and everything it answered.
Why it matters
When several people and their agents work on one story, it is hard to know who is doing what. The floor shows it at a glance, so a continuity problem is seen while the shot is still being written, not after it is generated.
- See who is working, and on what, without asking.
- See a finding the moment a check turns it up.
- Only what is safe to read at a glance is shown: a question that failed says it could not be answered, never why.
